Privacy Notice
Clear information about how this website handles your data.
Effective August 13, 2026
1. Scope
This notice describes how Bit Bookkeeper handles information collected through this public website, including consultation requests, resource interactions, and site analytics. Client engagement data may be governed by additional agreements and notices.
2. Information we collect
We may collect information you choose to provide, including:
- your name, business email, company, role, website, and jurisdiction;
- the service, timing, transaction-volume range, and accounting system you select;
- the message and business context included in a consultation request; and
- referral, campaign, landing-page, and resource context associated with the request; and
- billing contact details, invoice terms, amounts, due dates, payment status, payment-method type, and transaction or reconciliation references associated with a client engagement.
When an authorized client uses a Stripe-hosted invoice page, payment and billing details are submitted directly to Stripe. Bit Bookkeeper does not collect full card or bank-account numbers through this website.
Our hosting, security, and analytics providers may receive limited technical information such as page paths, device or browser characteristics, timestamps, referral information, and interaction events.
3. How we use information
- to receive, assess, route, and respond to inquiries;
- to evaluate whether a requested service may be a fit;
- to deliver requested resources and operational messages;
- to issue and administer engagement invoices, reconcile payments, and respond to billing questions;
- to maintain security, prevent abuse, and troubleshoot the website;
- to understand which pages and resources support legitimate business inquiries; and
- to maintain records, enforce agreements, and comply with applicable obligations.
4. Service providers and disclosures
We use service providers to operate the website, intake process, and engagement billing. These may include Vercel for hosting and analytics, Resend for transactional email, Cloudflare Turnstile for required form spam prevention, a configured customer-relationship or workflow provider, and Stripe for invoicing, hosted payment pages, payment processing, fraud prevention, and related billing records. They receive information only as needed to perform services for us and are subject to their own terms and privacy practices. Stripe describes its practices in its Privacy Policy.
We may also disclose information when reasonably necessary to comply with law, protect rights or security, investigate abuse, or complete a business reorganization. We do not sell private keys, wallet credentials, or inquiry information, and this website is not designed to collect wallet credentials.
5. Retention and security
We retain inquiry, invoice, payment-status, reconciliation, and operational records for as long as reasonably necessary to respond, administer an engagement, maintain business and tax records, comply with applicable obligations, and resolve disputes. Retention periods vary with the record and whether an engagement begins.
We use administrative and technical safeguards appropriate to the information handled. No internet transmission or storage system is completely secure, so please use the secure delivery method provided by Bit Bookkeeper before sending confidential records.
6. Your choices
Depending on where you live, you may have rights concerning access, correction, deletion, or restriction of certain personal information. You may also ask how an inquiry record is being used. We may need to verify your identity and may retain information where permitted or required.
7. Children
This business-to-business website is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly seek personal information from children.
8. Changes and contact
We may update this notice as the website and operating practices change. The effective date above identifies the current version.
